Sponsored by the Indonesia Branch of Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. (Indonesia LiuGong) and co-organized by Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya, Indonesia (POLSRI), the competition was held for the first time in the POLSRI, a Branch Center of China-ASEAN Institute of Modern Craftsmanship. The teams participating in this competition were from Liuzhou Polytechnic University (LZPU), POLSRI, and Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ). LZPU sent two teams comprising four students majoring in Intelligent Applied Technology of Construction Machinery to attend the competition in Indonesia for the first time. Led by Xu Yuanjun, the teams secured the second and third prizes.

The competition consisted of a preliminary and a final. The preliminary was a qualifying contest held in respective schools to examine students' theoretical knowledge related to engineering machinery. The final was held at POLSRI in Indonesia to examine students' operating skills. The final included six competition items: engine valve clearance adjustment, engine parts assembly, BS305 transmission parts assembly, 856H loader electrical system troubleshooting, and 922E excavator electrical system troubleshooting. He Yongjun, Lan Yuanlang, Wei Haojie, and Yin Jiyun, the four students enrolled in 2022, major in Intelligent Applied Technology of Construction Machinery from the School of Automotive Engineering at LZPU. After strict selection and assessment in the preliminary contest, they successfully entered the final. The participating students overcame difficulties and obstacles such as dietary habits and language barriers. After two days of fierce competition, the team consisting of He Yongjun and Yin Jiyun won the second prize, while the team of Lan Yuanlang and Wei Haojie achieved third place.

The student group competition was attended by students for the first time since China-ASEAN Institute of Modern Craftsmanship was inaugurated in Indonesia in December 2023. This competition marks a significant milestone in our practical cooperation with LiuGong, PNJ, and POLSRI. It builds an international industry-education integration platform for colleges and enterprises and provides a stage for students from China and Indonesia to showcase their professional knowledge and skills. Additionally, it fosters students' cross-cultural communication ability and enhances the quality of training for international technical talent.
